AZWIN 2021 Conference Information

Ann Marie Carrizales is a US Marine Corps Veteran currently serving as an Officer with the Meadows Place (TX) Police Department.  In October 2013, Officer Carrizales was shot in the face and chest by gang members during a traffic stop. After being shot, Officer Carrizales immediately returned fire and pursued the suspects for 20 miles, assisting in their capture. In her presentation, “The Fight After the Fight,” Officer Carrizales will speak candidly about her journey of physical and emotional survival.

Kortney’s personal experiences as a crime scene technician led her on a journey resulting in her becoming a yoga instructor certified through Yoga For First Responders. Be sure to bring your yoga mat!

DAY ZERO registrants will participate in a FULL DAY of training, including a tactical decision-making course, scenario-based training, and Mesa PD’s Women on the Range tactical firearms training at two Mesa PD training facilities located in central Mesa. 

*Only 25 Spots Available for Training Must Be Registered for Conference to Sign Up. 

Lt. Diana Clevenger has been with the Mesa Police Department for over sixteen years and currently serves as the Commander over the Tactical team. She directs personnel and operations from SWAT, Hostage Negotiations, Explosive Ordinance Disposal, K-9 and works closely with Undercover Detectives, Organized Crime, US Marshall’s Violent Offender Unit, Alcohol Tobacco, and Firearms Career Criminal Squad, and the Gang Enforcement Unit. Lt. Clevenger will help us learn more about how to invest in our success as a plenary speaker at this year's conference!
